Accessibility Statement

We build websites for a living, so it would be a poor look if our own site were hard to use. We want this one to work for as many people as possible, including anyone using a screen reader, screen magnification, or a keyboard rather than a mouse.

The standard we work to

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is an ongoing effort rather than a box we tick once, and we re-check the site against it as the site changes.

What is actually built in

• Motion respects your system setting. If you have reduced motion turned on, the scroll animations stop and every section renders in its final, fully visible state.
• Text and interface colors are checked against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds rather than picked by eye.
• Every link, button, and form control is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible focus ring.
• A skip link is the first thing you reach by keyboard, so you can jump straight past the navigation.
• The mobile menu traps focus while it is open, closes on Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
• Contact form errors are announced, tied to the field they belong to, and never signalled by color alone.

Known limitations

So far we have run an automated accessibility check and a manual keyboard walkthrough of the navigation, the mobile menu, and the contact form. We have not yet tested this site with a real screen reader, such as VoiceOver or NVDA, and our testing to date has focused on the homepage rather than every page on the site. We will keep testing as the site grows and will update this statement as we do.

Telling us about a problem

If something on this site blocks you, please tell us. It helps to mention the page you were on and what you were using, such as a screen reader, a browser, or a phone, so we can reproduce it. We treat these as bugs and fix them.
